doctoral program leading towards the award of the degree of Doctorate of
Philosophy (PhD) provides the students an opportunity for a career in academia
or in R&D establishments. RKU aspires to take a leading role in the
research areas related to all fields of Science, Engineering, Pharmaceutical
Sciences, Physiotherapy, Computer Applications and Management.

Eligibility :
Candidates must have a post-graduate (master’s) degree with at least 55% marks
or equivalent CGPA and must be qualified in national level test like UGC/CSIR
(JRF) examination/CSIR (SRF) /NET /SLET /GATE/GPAT/M. Phil etc. or its
equivalent examinations of similar level or RKU Research Aptitude Test (RAT).
Selection will be on the basis of interview of shortlisted candidates. The
decision of the concerned authorities of RKU regarding eligibility of any
candidate shall be final.
Selection/Admission Process :
1.
Every year, there will be 2 admission sessions to PhD programme in RK University
viz. January and June. The selection process for admission to PhD programme of
RK University will comprise of 2 stages; 1. Research Aptitude Test (RAT) and 2.
Personal Interview.

Candidates who have passed a national level test like UGC/CSIR (JRF)
examination/CSIR (SRF)/NET/SLET/GATE/GPAT/M. Phil etc. or its equivalent, will
not be required to appear in the written entrance test (RAT) conducted by the
university, provided that the score of the examination is valid on the date of
RAT.
Application Fee : 'Demand Draft or Payable
par Cheque' of Rs. 1000/- in favor of “RK University” Candidates are advised to
write their name and the program applied for (PhD) at the backside of the DD or
cheque.
