The North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda And Homoeopathy (NEIAH), Shillong, Meghalaya invites prescribed format of application for the post of Director by Deputation/Contract for a tenure of 5 years or till the date of retirement or as decided by the Government, whichever is earlier.

NAME OF THE POST : Director .

SALARY : PB-4 Rs.37,400-67.000 with Grade Pay Rs.10,000 + NPAas admissible as per Central Government Rules .

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION : Post Graduate Degree in Ayurveda recognized under the provisions of the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970; (OR) Post Graduate Degree in Homoeopathy recognized under the provisions of the Homoeopathy Central Council Act, 1973, Enrolment in the Central/State Register of Indian Medicine/Homoeopathy as the case may be. 20 years service in a Group A Level post having a minimum of three years PG teaching. In a Post with 3 years regular service in PB-4 and GP of RS.8,700 as a Professor or equivalent or corresponding pay scales as applicable to the post. OR 8 years regular service in a post in P8-3 and GP of Rs.7,600 as Professor/ Reader/ Associate Professor or equivalent or corresponding pay scales as applicable to the post .

AGE LIMIT : Not exceeding 58 years as on 11/12/2013 .

Applications are invited for the following posts:
1. Deputy Medical Superintendent: 01 Post
Qualifications & Experience: i). A Medical qualification included in the first schedule to Indian Medical Council Act 1956 (person possessing qualification included in part -II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in section 13 (3) of the Act. ii). MD / MS degree recognised by MCI. iii). the candidate must be registered with Central / State Medical Council. iv). Five years experience in the administration of a Major Hospital of at least 500 beds or any health care organisation. Preference will be given to candidates having MHA or MD hospital administration.

2. Veterinary Officer: 01 Post
Qualifications: i). Bachelors degree in Veterinary Science from a recognised university or equivalent. ii). Eight years practical experiences in scientific breeding and acquaintances and care of laboratory animals.

3. Junior Medical Officer (Transfusion & Blood Bank): 01 Post
Qualifications: i). MD Pathology / Transfusion Medicine with one years experience in a recognised blood bank. Or MBBS with Diploma in Pathology or Transfusion Medicine with one years experience in a recognised blood bank. ii). Must be registered with the State Medical Council.

4. Casualty Medical Officer: 01 Post
Qualifications: i). A Medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical council Act of 1956 (person possessing qualifications included in the part- II of the second schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in the sub section (3) of the section 13 of the Act ii). The candidate must be registered with the State Medical Council / Medical Council of India. iii).Two years experience in casualty or general Medicine or General Surgery or Orthopedics & Trauma or Anaesthesiology or Pediatrics departments in a reputed hospital.

5. Bio Medical Engineer: 01 Post
Qualifications: i). Bachelors degree in Biomedical engineering from a recognised engineering institute Or B.Tech. / BE (Electronics) from a reputed engineering institute. ii). Three years experience in a relevant field in a medical institute in installation and maintenance of medical equipment.
