NAME OF THE POST : LADY CONSTABLE IN WEST BENGAL POLICE
VACANCY : 2940 POSTS
SALARY AND PAY : Pay scale of Rs. 5,400-25,200/- (i.e. Pay
Band-2) with Grade Pay Rs. 2,600/-, plus other admissible allowances.
AGE LIMIT : The candidate must not be less than 18 years and not
more than 27 years of age as on 01.01.2013 (i.e. born not earlier than 2 nd January,
1986 and not later than 1st January, 1995). Upper age limit is relaxable by
05(five) years for SC/ST candidates and 03 (three) years for OBC
candidates of West Bengal only. The upper age limit is also relaxable for
Ex-service personalas per existing Govt. rules.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : The candidate must have passed
Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of SecondaryEducation or
equivalent examination from any Board recognized by the State Government
or the Central Government

SELECTION PROCESS : Candidates would be selected through PHYSICAL
MEASUREMENT TEST PMT , PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST PET , WRITTEN TEST and ORAL INTERVIEW
APPLICATION FEE : Candidates must deposit a fee of Rs.
150/-(Rupees one hundred fifty only) in the form of A/C Payee Demand
Draft from any Nationalized Bank / IPO purchased on or after 22/04/2013in
favour of “West Bengal Police Recruitment Board” payable at
Kolkata. No application will be considered unless accompanied with the
requisite application fees. No fee will be charged from candidates belonging to
Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe category and candidates from Exempted
Category of West Bengal only. The Application
Form without fees of such candidates will not be accepted if the
same isnot accompanied with attested photocopy of SC/ST Certificate issued by
the competent authority/ Identity Card of Exempted Category issued by the
Labour Department, Government of West Bengalin a prescribed format. OBC candidates
of West Bengal are however required to pay aforesaid usual fee. NO EXEMPTION OF
FEE IS AVAILABLE TO SC/ST/OBC CANDIDATES OF “OTHER STATES”. No claim for refund
of fee will be entertained.
APPLICATION FORM : The prescribed application form with detailed
Information Brochurewill be available from the office of the Superintendents
ofPolice of all districts and the office of the Commissioner’s of Police of all
Police Commissionerate (except Kolkata) on all working days between 10 AM and
05:30 PMfrom 22/04/2013 to 22/05/2013.Application Form will be issued to the
candidates on productionof Bank Draft / Postal Order of Rs.150/- (One hundred
fifty only) or Caste Certificate (for the candidates from Schedule Tribe /
Scheduled Caste Community of West Bengal only) or Identity Card issued by the
Labour Department, Government of West Bengal in case of Exempted Category
candidate.
ADDRESS TO SEND THE APPLICATION FORM : Duly filled up Application
Form along with two photographs and copies of all certificates are to be placed
in an envelope of size 34 cm X 26 cm. The application form should not be
folded. The envelope should be properly sealed. On the top of the envelope
please write “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF LADY CONSTABLE IN WEST BENGAL
POLICE - 2013”. On the right side of the envelope please write
